I’ve always been a fan of March — and I bet I’m not the only one.
After all, March marks the first day of spring and the clocks going forward an hour, which means warmer days, lighter nights, new beginnings, and…..amazing March hashtags for your Instagram.
St. Patrick’s Day is also in March — and this annual holiday calls for celebration whether or not you have Irish roots. (Trust me.)
There tend to be two types of people in March: Those who take photos of Insta-worthy daffodils and those who take Reels of themselves partying in an Irish pub.
I’m somewhere between the two. Wherever you land on the spectrum, make sure you include these magnetic March selfie hashtags in your Instagram posts so the world can join in the fun.
Why You Need Magnetic March Hashtags for the ‘Gram
Let’s face it, the online space is only getting bigger with more information and competition — and Instagram isn’t any different.
In fact, Instagram currently has roughly one billion monthly active users.
How do you get your posts to be seen and stand out from the crowd? Enter: the humble hashtag.
The most popular Instagram hashtags can be the most generic. And while using these in your posts can potentially expand your account’s reach, it’s the niche hashtags that will engage an audience, due to their greater relevance.
What qualifies as a niche hashtag? These are the hashtags that describe what’s going on in your post more specifically, from the location (#newyorkspring) to the activity (#springbaking).

Niche hashtags will be more favored by the Instagram algorithm and push your content to the top of each hashtag page. Therefore, by using these, you can say goodbye to zero engagement and hello to brand-new profile visits!

Mix Up Your Magnetic March Hashtags
I get that it’s tempting, but try to avoid copying and pasting all the St. Patrick’s Day hashtags in the caption of your related post.
(I’m looking at you, Susan.)
Yes, this may save you time. However, it’s only going to hurt your account in the long run by coming across as spammy.
Instead, mingle some St. Paddy’s-related hashtags with the more niche hashtags we talked about earlier. It’s all about narrowing down the size of your audience to widen the possibility of a user becoming a follower.
Let’s spring into success!
